The girls and I took a rainy day drive to visit one of our very special friends who owns a wonderful bead store in Saratoga. Linda set us up making hair smoochies which are barrettes with a long string of beads attached. Eleanor is old enough now to really be able to do the stringing herself. Frances prefers to dump, sort, and refill the containers. Both girls were in their element.
This shop is filled with such possibilities and amazing colors. I love going there. There is always great music playing and I never feel rushed. This was the first time I have brought the girls and I know they enjoyed it too. I am looking forward to finding a time to go back soon alone or with a girlfriend or two. I actually had a small party there with a group of women when I was pregnant with Fran instead of having a baby shower or blessing and it was a wonderful evening spent chatting and creating with friends. I highly recommend checking it out if you ever find yourself in Saratoga. Tell Linda I sent you!
After yummy lunch at one of our favorite little restaurants we went in search of this playground.
It is days like this that I want to remember forever. They make being a mother so rewarding and fun and sweet. The girls are such a blast and I love watching them march down the street with their umbrellas. I love watching them jump from so high up. I love hearing them sing songs that they make up. I love hearing them laugh together. I love seeing them eat asparagus. I love holding their hands. I just love them can't you tell?
