Today when I picked up Eleanor from school she wasn't alone. Rex, her class "pet", was with her. I have been hearing about Rex for well over a week and I finally got to meet him. He is a shiny green chameleon puppet who arrived in a special canvas bag containing a picture book about himself and a journal.
When we got home we gave him a snack
we read his book
and just like in the book Eleanor wrote in his journal.
Eleanor kept Rex very busy this afternoon and documented almost her every move. Right now Rex is snuggled up next to her wearing a tie-dyed shirt and striped leggings for pajamas. Don't worry he is taking it like a...lizard.
This is the best homework ever! We are all wondering when he can come back?
